Lots of people in Australia love sport. Cricket and rugby are very popular, but the most popular sport is Australian Rules football. The national colours are green and gold, which can be seen at sporting events. In this year’s Winter Olympics, a lot of Australian competitors have entered the skiing and snowboarding events. Although most of Australia is desert, there are also tall mountains where people can practise skiing.

Unfortunately, we still haven’t won a gold medal!

オーストラリアでは、多くの人がスポーツが大好きです。クリケットやラグビーが人気があります。オーストラリアンフットボールは一番人気のあるスポーツです。スポーツの試合で応援するときはナショナルカラーの緑と金色が見えます。

今年の冬季オリンピックで、多くのオーストリアの選手がスキーとスノーボードに出場しています。オーストラリアはほとんど砂漠ですが、高い山もありますから、スキーやスノーボードの練習ができます。残念ながら、オーストラリアは今回の冬季オリンピックではまだ金メダルを獲得していません！
