Showing the picture of School Festival
@On October 10th, 2006, we had a teleconference with Singaporean high school students with whom we have been exchanging emails for some time. They said that they just had Mid-Autumn Festival and ate some moon cakes. That reminded us of the rice dumplings Japanese people eat when we enjoy the beautiful moon of the mid Autumn. Some students think that such a custom was observed by aristocrats about 1000 years ago and that it is no long observed in modern Japan. Japanese people may have had a luxury of time and peace of mind which young Japanese people should appreciate now.
